George Dunlop Leslie - was an English genre painter, author and illustrator.

                                       Leslie George Dunlop (English, 1835-1921)

Landscape and genre painter. Born in London on 2nd July 1835, son of C.R. Leslie,  (1794-1859). Studied art under his father and at the  Schools in 1856. Exhibited at the Royal Academy from 1857. Elected in 1868 and became a full member of the Royal Academy ) in 1876. Lived in London, Wallingford, and Lindfield, Sussex. Died on 21st February 1921.

Lado Gudiashvili (1896-1980)

Gudiashvili Lado (Vladimir) Davidovich (1896–1980) was a Georgian avant–garde artist. In 1910 he entered the Tbilisi Painting and Sculpture School , from which he graduated in 1914. In 1915, Gudiashvili met a great Georgian painter Niko Pirosmani, who greatly influenced the artist. Gudiashvili lived in Paris for 5 years from 1920 until 1925, where he was a regular visitor of "La Ruche", a famous artist’s residence, where he met I. Zuloaga, Amedeo Modigliani, Nathalia Goncharova, and Mikhail Larionov. In 1925, Lado Gudiashvili returned to Georgia with his new collection of paintings. Gudiashvili freely used mythological allegories and the traditions of old Caucasian and Persian art. He also worked as a book illustrator, and a cinema and theater decorator. Gudiashvili’s works are represented at the State Tretyakov Gallery in Moscow, the Bakhrushin State Central Theater Museum, the State Museum of Eastern Peoples, the Moscow Museum of Modern Art, and the State Art Museum of Georgia in Tbilisi.
